Do you happen to know how many of the shows the New Riders opened on this tour? I wasn't aware they were there and never really thought about opening acts in Europe.

Also Bickershaw Festival 5-07-72 its on Cliff's E72 Notebook. Wasn't sure how to post show it goes direct to media player because it is on sugarmegs.

That would seem to fit with what Finster said. ie they were both in Europe at the time on tour so they would both be at a festival. Thanks.

I had no idea either, I just felt like hearing some New Riders this AM and saw this famous date. Seems they have been adding some New Riders recently.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that The NRPS were doing their own tour of Europe at the time. The 2 bands happened to intersect and play together a couple of times.
Not sure which shows. Apparently this is one of them.
